Graphic Design in Asheville, NCGraphic Design

At heart, Blue Dozen Design is about graphic design and graphic art. Because it IS an art.

Since graphic design (and advertising design and web design) can so easily encompass all types of art – illustration, painting, design, photography, yadda yadda yadda, it stands on it’s own two feet as an art form in and of itself.

While we’re graphic designers by profession, we’re artists by the grace of God. We were born with it, raised with it, and we live it every day.

Sure beats a real job!

Star Wars Infographic

We’ve got some really great clients. Can’t say who this one was for, but we can say it was one hell of a lot of fun to design. We love Star Wars. We love design. It was a match made in Photoshop heaven.

You’re welcome to download it (high-res here) and forward it like it’s hot.

Logo Design for Glam Canvas

GLAMCANVASBeth Phoenix, professional wrestler, WWE Diva and 3-time WWE Women’s Champion, has an artsy side. She makes some really sweet art – painted on genuine canvas from wrestling rings. She needed a logo, and she came to us. Being wrestling fans (from back in the day,) we were thrilled, and we’re really happy with the results.

She’s a big fan of pin-up art and the whole retro thing, so – that’s what we did. A little retro, a little modern and a whole lot of fun.

We designed a good looking, marketable logo that really fits the bill for her product and her audience. Then, we made her an Etsy banner to help get her art career off the mat. Get it?

Check her out in the green pants. Then, check her out on Etsy.

Tshirt Design - Chick-o-Pig

Well, I threatened to bring back some of the Tshirt designs that were sold locally and through Etsy. Now, don’t get me wrong – I don’t have a problem with Etsy, but I am a control freak.

So, I opened up The Store of The Crassest of Commercialism.*

It’s only got a few of the “classics,” meaning the ones that I sold lots of and have had folks beg and plead for me to bring back – but I’ll be adding a lot more, including some one-of-a-kind models with swirled inks and weird crap.

Yes. I like to make money. All this coffee isn’t free, you know.

*For what it’s worth – it’s a WordPress ecommerce site. I do that kind o’ crap, too.
